We have prepared this simultaneous update of our both extensions because they share a lot in common. In this update we've taken Product Types one step further. For this reason these updates are for Virtuemart 2 only.

Cherry Picker Product Types 3.0

As promised, this version of CP includes all new features from the recently updated Custom Fields version.

We would just like to mention that because of inherently better organization of Product Types in Database you can, as always, expect better performance from this version of CP.

It still provides you with ability to have filters represented as actual Colors or have products filtered by ranges of filters with Trackbar.
Color palette filters have been slightly redesigned.

Here goes the description of a new feature.
For example you are selling car parts. And a certain product can fit for two cars: BMW M5 and Audi R8. You create and assign this product two Parameters:

Brand: BMW, Audi.
Model: M5, R8.

The module will show filters correctly, but when you choose filter "BMW" it will show both Models "M5" and "R8" because it is correct from the point of view of data in DB. But it is not that correct from the practical point of view. And there was no solution to this problem until now. We modified Product Types, and by using the new Fast Seller you'll be able to see filters work as you expect. This is the main reason why this update is for Virtuemart 2 only -- Virtuemart 1.1 has a close integration with product types and we cannot overhaul them so easily. And yes, this problem cannot be solved with Custom Fields.

Fast Seller 2.0

We reworked FS greatly. Our aim was to make the process of creating and assigning filters even more simple, fast and intuitive.

Previously you had to make two steps when assigning filters: 1. create filters and 2. assign filters. We simplified this process -- merged into one. You no longer have to pre-define filters before assigning them. You just open the parameter and type in the filter name:

When you press "Enter" -- the filter is automatically created. Notice the blue glow around parameter box? It means the data has been changed and is ready to be saved in Database. When you close the window, the glow will fade away and the data will be saved automatically. You do not need to press "Save" button each time anymore:

Also this new filter will be added to the list of Available Filters so you do not need to type it every time.

In Fast Seller 2 you finally can freely assign multiple Product Types to the same product. So you can have more flexible configurations of your store. In fact, this is how you achieve proper functionality for the above example with "BMW" and "Audi" car part -- by assigning same Product Type two times and selecting proper pairs of filters for each:

For better visual distinction of the products you're editing we've added a little product's icon to the left of the Product Name.

There is a lot of other improvements, new options in interface and increased overall performance.
